Zaatar Blend

The Zaatar Blend – a delicious concoction of dried zaatar (thyme), sesame seeds, sumac, and oregano – is a true staple of Palestinian cuisine.

A bit like dukkah, it's traditionally served as a dip alongside Palestinian olive oil and fresh bread, on manāqīsh, or as a seasoning for meats, eggs, and vegetables. It also adds punch to sauces for pizza or pasta.

Serve it with olive oil in our ceramic Zayt & Zaatar Dipping Bowl, handcrafted in Hebron.

A kitchen staple.

I've been making my own za'atar as best as I can with NZ ingredients, but this is the real deal. It is meaningful to have the Palestinian product and also absolutely delicious. Quickly becoming a kitchen staple, I serve it at most meals, along with the olive oil I've also bought from Bayyāra.

Beautiful Za atar and cups

We feel very lucky to have some beautiful ceramics all the way from Palestine, our kids each held one knowing they came all the way from a place we talk of daily and a people we will always admire.
