Tahini – a paste of ground sesame seeds – is one of the core ingredients of Palestinian cuisine.

You'll find it everywhere. It could be a sauce in your falafel sandwich, perfectly balanced by fresh mint and pickles; or it could be blended with chickpeas to form hummus, then drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with sumac.

It can even be used to make traditional sweets like hareesa, also known as basbousa.

Our tahini is made entirely from raw, freshly ground sesame seeds without any additives or preservatives.

Bayyāra was created in 2024 by Noor, a Palestinian from Gaza, and her husband Matt (from NZ).

We import Hebron ceramics, Nablus soap, extra virgin olive oil, traditional embroidery, and other Palestinian products.

Every purchase directly supports farmers & artisans in Palestine, and helps to preserve their cultural heritage.
