Sumac is a classic Palestinian spice, made from the crimson berries of the native sumac plant. Commonly sprinkled on hummus or mixed into a vinaigrette for salads like fattoush, it's also a key ingredient in more complex local dishes like musakhan and Gazan sumagiyya.

Our sumac is grown and harvested in the hills of Palestine, before being sundried and then ground into a coarse powder. It's less processed than other sumac you might have tried, and isn't diluted with other ingredients or preservatives – imparting a stronger and fresher flavour.

"No Palestinian pantry is complete without sumac." – Laila El-Haddad, author of The Gaza Kitchen.
