Our founders are Noor, a Palestinian from Gaza, and Matt, a Kiwi originally from Nelson. Read our story here.
In Palestinian Arabic, Bayyāra (بيَّارة) means "orange grove". Our name is a nod to the fertile bayyāra, full of Valencia and Jaffa oranges, that Noor's grandfather owned in Gaza.
We prepare orders at our small farm on the Kāpiti Coast, an hour north of Wellington, NZ.
We source all our products (except books) from a handful of non-profits, cooperatives, and family-owned businesses in Palestine. View our full list of suppliers.
